We came to the Paragon Cafe for breakfast, I haven’t been here since I was 12. The atmosphere and even the decor looks the same, in saying that it’s not a bad thing. Our server Donna was amazing, a big “Gold Star” 🌟. Very attentive and just that good old country charm. The food was just yum and huge portions. Hopefully it won’t be as long till next time I return.

I’ve been coming to the Paragon since I was 9 years old. In my career I travelled extensively throughout NSW and Vic and NEVER missed the opportunity to visit. It was a MUST stop location on my way home to Sydney in those days. Now 72 and retired I was shocked to see the Paragon now does not open on Monday and Tuesdays. I will have to change my schedules in future. They still make the best chocolate thick shakes in Australia but I was in Corryong Vic recently and they came very very close. So on my way home I had to stop and just make sure though. 5 stars again. I understand times change and that’s say. Will always be top spot for me though.
Only ever had great meals at the Paragon. Just had the Fillet Plaka, best steak I've had at a restaurant in a long time. Delicious and great value! Staff are fantastic too!
We stumbled on this place during a one night stopover in Goulburn and boy are we glad we did! The service was friendly, the food was delicious with generous portions and I love booth dining! You can tell this place is an historical icon for a reason! Also for anyone searching for a proper old-school vanilla malt milkshake, this is your place! (So many cafes these days have never even heard of malt!). Good luck picking from the dessert menu too. I wanted one of everything. Whenever I am staying in Goulburn I won’t be eating anywhere else. Highly recommend.
I was super impressed with the service. My partner and I decided to share a burger because we wanted to save room for dessert and they actually split it for us! Tactical sharing of the main turned out to be the a great idea cos the dessert was massive and delicious
Has a late 80’s vibe, and a diner food scene. The portions are great and the taste is good as well.
I would highly recommend the Paragon Cafe! Staff are super friendly, the restaurant is beautiful and service is super fast. My order came in 5 minutes and my mums in about 10. Both our food was delicious and my chips came with my own bottle of tomato sauce. Which I loved! No more tiny little portions of tomato sauce.
Fantastic lunch with the charm and character one misses these days. Our server, of mature years, was delightful, helpful and efficient without being overly attentive. Our meals were generous and delicious. Loads of chicken in the salad and the pattie substantive. Looved the beetroot. The lunch special included a slice of cake and a drink. Everything was at the comfy booth in perfect time. All this at an incredibly reasonable price, even before the 10% cash discount. We'll be back 😀
An Institution in Goulburn. Has been trading here for Many Many Decades ! Located on Auburn street in the Middle of Town. Used to stop here on the way to the Snowy Mountains ages ago for a Raisin Toast and a Hot Chocolate. Had a Large Flat White Coffee and a Raisin Toast. Both were good.
